2010 District XI Championships

On 2/27/10 and 2/28/10 Varsity District XI Championships were held at Liberty High School. Freedom had 5 wrestlers place in the top 8 places. Mason McIntyre and Matt Klacik will advance to the Regionals being held on 3/5 and 3/6 at Freedom High School. Sean Fortes placed 7th and Tyler Galasso and Josh Young placed 8th. Congratulations to all the wrestlers for doing a fantastic job and competing to the best of their ability.

Jersey Shore Dual Team Tournament

Hard Luck Team Champions

Congratulations to the varsity team for winning the Hard Luck Team Championship. They were 3-1 at the Jersey Shore Dual Team Tournament held on 1/16/2010.

Southeastern Varsity / Junior Varsity Tournament

On December 11th and 12th the Varsity and Junior Varsity wrestlers traveled to Wissahickon High School for the annual Southeastern Tournament. Our wrestlers once again faced very stiff competition. Even though the team entered the competition missing wrestlers in 2 weight brackets, they completed 9th this year in team points up from last year which they placed 15th. We had 7 wrestlers place in the top 8 spots with Evan Kauffman ending at the 189# Champion. Click here to see the varsity brackets. We want to congratulation all the Varsity place winners:

Whitehall Christmas Classic

On December 12th, our Junior High team went to Whitehall for its annual Whitehall Christmas Classic. For many of our wrestlers it was there first tournament but all battled very hard and up kept Freedom High Schools reputation as being a strong wrestling school. 1 wrestler placed in the top 3:

Kickoff Dinner

On November 16th the Patriot Wrestling club held its annual Wrestling kickoff dinner. We had about 60 in attendance which included wrestlers, parents, & coach's with wives/girlfriends. The dinner was another huge success as Coach McIntyre addressed his hopes for the season and Laura Fortes talked about the importance of the Booster Club. To view pictures of the event, Click Here.

Bethlehem Fall Classic 2009

On November 14th the Bethlehem Fall Classic 2009 Midget Tournament took place at Freedom High School in the new gym. The event was sponsored by the Patriot Wrestling Club, and the Bulldog wrestling clubs. Overall the tournament was a success pulling in close to 200 competitors all under the age of 13 representing over 55 teams. We have received very positive feedback from the wrestling community in this event and hope that next year will be even bigger and better. To view the results of each division click here.

We would like to thank everyone for making the tournament such a big success. Thanks to all of our volunteers who helped run tables, worked and baked goods at the concession stand, and who worked security with whom we would not have been able to run such a smooth event.
